doldrums - a state or period of stagnation or depression - in the light of everything going around in the world, people having to stay home, be alone with themselves; brings out a lot of skills or suppressed talents.
We should embrace this time, work on ourselves and come out the other end as a better person. This is envisioned in the last chorus which is an explosion of emotions and coming to peace with oneself and the world around us.
